Relief Grants
Update: the Selection Committee has convened in late July and held lengthy deliberations, culminating in a vote for the recipients based on expressed need. Six teachers have been awarded mini-grants of $500 each. More information and their public bios can now be read on this page.
As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, Physics Unlimited would like to help high school math and physics educators in the U.S. (or people they personally know, among their colleagues, students, family, or friends) who have been adversely affected in any way by recent events.
We plan to do so by providing direct financial assistance (relief funding) in the form of mini-grants.
We have resources to award at least four grants of at least $200 each this summer.
In order to do so in a fair way, we will be using responses to a very brief (anonymous-optional) Nomination Form linked below, and based on the responses our selection committee will reach out to the nominees to determine whom to award the grants.
We encourage everyone to nominate their teacher(s). Educators may nominate themselves or others.
